Whiteparish Bike and Pint Club, a real Natterio site

One of the sites Natterio's built — live in about 60 seconds.

Scotland

Scotland's WI-equivalent isn't part of the NFWI at all, it's the Scottish Women's Institutes (SWI), formed in 1917 (originally as the Scottish Women's Rural Institutes) as a fully separate organisation, with around 700 institutes grouped into 32 federations across Scotland. A Scottish group's website should reference SWI, not the NFWI federations used in England and Wales.

The problem

WI groups run a packed programme of talks and outings but communicate it through a paper newsletter half the members mislay.

Natterio gives your WI group in Scotland a permanent digital home it actually owns — with a real domain, searchable discussions, and content that doesn't disappear after 48 hours in an algorithm.

Frequently asked questions

Can we publish our programme of talks and outings?▾
Yes. The events calendar keeps the full programme in one place — no more relying on a paper newsletter that gets mislaid.
Can new members find out how to visit or join?▾
Yes — a joining and visitor information page covers meeting nights, fees, and what to expect.
Is there a forum for committee and member updates?▾
Yes, on the Community plan (£14/mo) — a proper forum for committee coordination and member chat.
Is there a free plan for a WI group?▾
Yes — the free plan is permanent and needs no card. Starter (£7/mo) adds a custom domain and unlimited pages.
Can we migrate away from a paper newsletter?▾
Yes — there's no automated import, but moving your programme and news online is quick, and most groups are live within an afternoon.
Should a Scottish WI-style group's website mention the NFWI or a different body?▾
A different body. Scotland's rural women's institutes have been organised separately as the Scottish Women's Institutes (SWI) since 1917, with their own 32 federations, so it's the SWI (not the NFWI federations used south of the border) that a Scottish group's website should reference.
